First chartered in 1877, the Madison County Medical Society works on behalf of its members in managed care, legislative issues, and employer interaction that affect physicians and their practices. Its members include Medical Doctors and Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine in Madison County. The society is the liaison between the medical community, the lay community, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the American Medical Association.
