An epicenter for the arts, dining, and recreation, West Huntsville is quickly becoming the place to be. With a variety of housing options available, West Huntsville is an easy choice for young professionals and growing families.
Residents can choose from a wide range of homes – from charming bungalows and starter homes to modern new construction – all within minutes of downtown Huntsville. The Lowe Mill District offers single-family homes, custom-built residences, and townhomes. Campus No. 805 offers unique food establishments, local breweries, and the Stone Event Center. One of its most popular events is 805 After Five, a free concert series held at Butler Green Park. A popular destination for dining, shopping, and entertainment, Stovehouse features multiple stages for live music. Other nearby arts and entertainment centers include Fantasy Playhouse, Shenanigans Comedy Theatre, Levity Live, and Theatre Huntsville.
Recreation of all kinds is close by in West Huntsville. Brahan Spring Park and John Hunt Park are two of the area’s largest parks, with a host of sports fields, playgrounds, and recreational facilities available to residents. A brand-new recreation center is coming to Martin Road in 2026, equipped with a gymnasium, volleyball courts, pickleball courts, and more. A short drive away, the Huntsville Botanical Garden is open year-round and boasts winding trails, engaging programs, and other unique outdoor experiences across 118 acres.

Home to upscale brands, dining, entertainment, and more, Bridge Street Town Centre in nearby Research Park is a favorite shopping destination. The outdoor shopping complex has more than 50 retailers including Anthropologie, Kendra Scott, lululemon, and Mountain High Outfitters. Westside Centre and Huntsville West Shopping Center also offer several retail options.
