The Alabama Center for the Arts (ACA) represents a dynamic partnership between Calhoun Community College and Athens State University. The alliance provides a home for students to engage in active creative learning in a vibrant and supportive environment. At ACA, students can earn Associate of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and Master of Fine Arts degrees in order to pursue careers in musical, visual, and performing arts – all at the cost of a community college. The campus, located in downtown Decatur, consists of two state-of-the-art buildings that include gallery spaces, a recital hall, black box theatre, and recording studio, with more buildings in the works as the institution continues to grow. ACA’s new, modern residence hall houses 49 apartments inside a three-story building, also in downtown Decatur.
