From garden tea parties to basketball showdowns, comic conventions, mystery dinner shows, and much more, here’s a guide to local March events.
Beatles vs. Stones - A Musical Showdown
March 6
The Beatles or the Rolling Stones? Settle the classic 60s band rivalry at the Von Braun Center’s high-energy tribute concert – featuring bands like Abbey Road and Satisfaction. Complete with alternating sets and a joint encore, the show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the center’s Mars Music Hall. Tickets can be purchased on their website.
Annual Community Kite Festival
March 7
The City of Huntsville and AshaKiran Foundation partner to present this free, family-friendly event at John Hunt Park Festival Grounds. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., attendees can celebrate culture in the community by flying kites – either by bringing their own, or purchasing one at the festival. In addition to the colorful kites, the festival offers children’s activities, food trucks, and more.
Be Bolder: A Celebration of Women
March 8
Presented by The Women’s Expo Huntsville founder and executive director, Tiffany Draper, this vibrant International Women’s Day Festival celebrates women from all walks of life and the powerful contributions women make to the world – past, present, and future. Attendees are encouraged to be bold and wear pink and orange as they enjoy live performances, dynamic panel discussions with influential female leaders, shopping, food trucks, and more at The Orion Amphitheater. 2026 Conference USA Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championships
March 10-14
Conference USA is teaming up with the City of Huntsville to bring its premier basketball event to the Rocket City. Attendees will gather at the Von Braun Center’s Propst Arena to witness men’s and women’s basketball teams compete for CUSA titles and an NCAA automatic bid. Seasonal Sips: Blossoms to Bottle Cocktail Class
March 12
Celebrate spring’s arrival with a botanical deep dive into the world of gin! Exploring how herbs, flowers, and spices come together to create one of the world’s most versatile spirits, attendees will sample and craft cocktails that highlight the gin’s range, as well as enjoy curated bites that echo the spirit’s garden-sourced ingredients. Located at The Orion Amphitheater, doors open at 6 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. class. Tickets include two cocktails, light bites, and a take-home recipe card.
Huntsville Comic Convention
March 13-14
Lowe Mill A&E is set to host the ninth annual Huntsville Comic Convention – featuring special guests like the voice actor for Dragon Ball: Bojack and Shenron, director of Monster High and Ever After High franchises, and world-famous author of The Dark-Hunters and The League series. Attendees can peruse a fandom wonderland with thousands of comic books, J-POP, T-shirts, jewelry, posters, collectibles, and more. Doors open at 11 a.m. and are open until 7 p.m. both days. Enjoy free admission with a $10 parking fee.
Glow Run 5K
March 14
Let your light shine at Downtown Rescue Mission’s Glow Run 5K! This family-friendly 5K opens with a party and light show at 6 p.m. at Adtran in Research Park. Participants can enjoy food trucks, chalk art, photo ops, face painting, and more until it’s glow time at 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit the charity programs and services at Downtown Rescue Mission.
The Dinner Detective True Crime Murder Mystery Dinner Show

The Dinner Detective, North America’s largest interactive comedy true crime murder mystery dinner show, is now playing in Huntsville! Enjoy a full dinner as a hilarious crime unfolds around you at DoubleTree by Hilton Huntsville South – but stay alert. Raptor Show

Get an up-close, educational experience of Huntsville’s native raptor species – including eagles, hawks, and owls – at the Huntsville Botanical Garden amphitheater. Presented by the Auburn University Raptor Center, guests can witness birds of prey as they demonstrate their flight, strength, and natural behaviours, as well as learn about the important and often misunderstood role they play in the local ecosystem. Dancing with the Stars: Live!
March 21
The Dancing with the Stars: Live! tour is coming to Huntsville! Featuring professional dancers from the hit ABC series, attendees will enjoy a high-energy stage show presented by special guest and co-host Elaine Hendrix. Rocket City Reading Fest
March 21
In partnership with Huntsville-Madison County Public Library and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, The Orion Amphitheater presents the third annual Rocket City Reading Festival. The free festival is perfect for readers of all ages, offering book swaps for children and adults, story hour with local authors, HMCPL’s Bookmobile, book signings with 40+ local authors, and so much more. Enjoy the festival with friends or family from 12-3 p.m.
Bunny Hops Tea
March 22
Come celebrate the beginning of spring at the Bunny Hops Tea, hosted by Huntsville Botanical Garden. Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy fresh florals and seasonal treats – including artisan teas, classic finger sandwiches, petit fours, and colorful macaroons – as they spend time in the garden. In true Bunny Hops fashion, adorable, adoptable bunnies from Huntsville House Rabbits will be special guests for fluffy interaction!
Mrs. Doubtfire - The New Musical Comedy

Based on the beloved film Mrs. Doubtfire, this internationally acclaimed hit musical is bringing everyone’s favorite Scottish nanny to Huntsville! Following Daniel Hillard as he creates the kindly alter ego, Mrs. Doubtfire, to remain close to his children, audience members will enjoy lively musical numbers and rapid, on-stage transformations and costume changes. Taste of Soul Family Festival

Presented by WeCare Alabama, this one-of-a-kind, one-day event celebrates the heart and soul of Huntsville through music, food, and fun. From 1-9 p.m., peruse community-favorite food trucks, local eateries, and food entrepreneurs while listening to live music and shopping some of Rocket City’s favorite businesses. Celtic Woman - A New Era

Celebrating their 21-year journey, GRAMMY® nominated global music sensation Celtic Woman will be making a stop in Huntsville. Their all-new show, A New Era will showcase timeless traditions of Irish music and culture, new orchestrations, exquisite harmonies, and world-class musicianship that’s brought to life by the group of sopranos.
