Preserving the fine art of storytelling is the Athens Storytelling Festival, bringing memorable performances from renowned storytellers to Athens State University each October. The festival takes place in a tent just a few blocks from Athens’ downtown square, allowing attendees to easily walk to nearby shops and restaurants throughout their stay.

• 9:00am–9:15pm – All Day Friday (divided into 3 sessions)
• 9:30pm – Family Friendly Ghost Stories
• 9:00am–9:30pm – All Day Saturday (divided into 3 sessions)
Note: Kids ages 3–12 get in free. No babies under 2 years old. They don’t get our jokes!
