Founded in 1875, Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) is a historic, community-focused institution of higher learning with a strong commitment to academic excellence. The intimate campus is situated on “The Hill” just a short distance from downtown Huntsville. AAMU offers more than 60 undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs and concentrations, a diverse faculty, and over 50 student organizations. The university’s academic curriculum is organized into four colleges: College of Agricultural, Life, and Natural Sciences; College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences; College of Education, Humanities, and Behavioral Sciences; and College of Business and Public Affairs. Enrollment is just over 7,290 students with 800 staff and faculty members.
