With locations in Decatur and Huntsville, Calhoun Community College is the largest of the two-year institutions comprising the Alabama Community College System. Open-admission and state-supported, the comprehensive community college provides affordable and accessible education to approximately 10,000 students in its four-county service area. It offers more than 100 associate degree options and career and certificate programs, with its top three award-producing degree programs being general studies, advanced manufacturing, and registered nursing. Calhoun’s Huntsville campus inside Cummings Research Park is the only two-year college campus in the country located in a major research park. Additionally, Calhoun’s dual enrollment program boasts over 1,000 students and continues to grow.
