Named by Newsweek as one of the “Best Maternity Hospitals in America,” Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children is the only hospital of its kind in North Alabama. Among others, pediatric services include emergency care, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, and surgical services. Each year, more than 1,000 infants are cared for in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit – the only Level III NICU in North Alabama. Pediatric physicians provide specialty care, including audiology, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, orthopedics, urology, and more. The hospital also provides specialized care for women, including a breast center, breastfeeding support, a dedicated walk-in OB emergency program, and a maternity services department that welcomes more babies than any other hospital in Alabama. More than 30,000 women receive breast health services at Huntsville Hospital Breast Center, designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.
