Welcome to your go-to source for Huntsville’s top events! The sun is shining bright, and the Rocket City is absolutely teeming with fun things to do. Grab your sunscreen and sunglasses and enjoy everything from Father’s Day celebrations to outdoor music concerts, barbecue competitions, Independence Day celebrations, and more this June.

The free, award-winning concert series, Concerts In The Park, is back at Big Spring Park every Monday night during the summer! Grab a slushie and sit back to enjoy the colorful fireworks show and local music talent as they play a mix of genres – everything from rock, folk, and country to Latin, dance, R&B, and top 40 hits.

June 3 

In honor of Global Running Day, The Big Run 5K invites all runners and walkers to work towards their personal health goals and celebrate the sport that brings the community of Huntsville together. Located in John Hunt Park, the race starts at 6 p.m. with a cookout, ice cream, and live music afterwards. 

June 4 

Clift Farm presents 1st Thursdays Art Walk at Village Green – an afternoon that’s designed to inspire local artists to display their talent. Guests are invited to grab dinner at Clift Farm or picnic at the Village Green and stroll through the one-of-a-kind local art show and display.

The needle, the hook, and the yarn ball all come together at the Downtown Huntsville Library’s Chronicles of Yarnia group. Whether a beginner or an expert, the events invite crocheters and knitters who are 19+ to bring their works-in-progress or start something new while enjoying tips, advice, and fun conversation together.

Spend the morning picnicking and surrounded by the beauty of blooming daylilies at the Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Daylily Open House Picnic. Pack a breakfast or lunch from home, or stop by the Garden’s Fern & Feast Bistro for something tasty before strolling through the waves of color at your own pace. 

June 7 

Experience the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience like never seen before in Huntsville at the Candlelight: ‘90s Unplugged and Candlelight: Tribute to Adele concerts. Hundreds of flickering candles create a unique and serene setting while the audience enjoys reimagined classical music performances of ‘90s hit songs – like The Cranberries’ “Zombie,”

Wonderwall’s “Oasis,” Jeff Buckley’s “Hallelujah,” and more – or Adele’s hit songs “Hello,” “Rumour Has It,” and more.

June 9 

Pack up a lawn chair or blanket, sunscreen, and the whole family – including the furry, four-legged members – and head to Ditto Landing for the 3rd Annual Summer Sunset Concert Series. Every second Tuesday this summer, grab a bite from the food trucks and enjoy various artists and bands, including June’s featured artist, Kam Jones. 

June 12 and 13 

Celebrating 10 years, the Reelin’ N Smokin’ Backyard BBQ Competition – sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society – invites the Rocket City’s local grillers to put their barbecuing skills and recipes to the test as they compete for prize money and the coveted Ditto Landing trophy! Spectators are invited to enjoy the festival-like atmosphere, heavenly aromas, and spending time in the great outdoors at the two-day competition.

June 12-14, 18-20, 21, 26-28 

Presented by Theatre Huntsville, 1776 The Musical brings the history books and stiff portraits of the Founding Fathers to life through a sharp-humored, powerful musical. Featuring a heated debate between the Fathers, audience members will laugh, cry, and experience the founding of a nation through the messy, human struggle that led to the Declaration of Independence.

Follow the lamplight to The Moonlight Market “one of the best ways to experience Friday night in downtown Huntsville!” Every second Friday from June until October, the Downtown Square comes to life with more than 40 local artisan vendors, shoppers, and live music. Vendors open at 5:30 p.m. and close at 9 p.m.

Bringing together bourbon enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and newcomers alike, the Cask and Cork Tasting Event is a casual experience of the rich flavors and heritage of distinctive spirits. With delectable food and a curated selection of whiskeys, bourbons, wines, craft beer, and specialty cocktails, registered attendees can enjoy a silent auction and a night of bold flavors and tastings from 20 vendors.

Huntsville shoots, they score! Audience members will be on the edge of their seats as the Huntsville City Football Club competes against Orlando City B on June 13 and Crown Legacy FC on June 20 for the championship title as part of the 16-part MLS NEXT Pro – Regular Season. The two home games will take place at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium.

Be fearless and show off your love for Taylor Swift at the Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Taylor Swif-tea! Celebrating two decades of Taylor Swift’s music and storytelling, each table at the tea party is styled to reflect a different album era where Swifties of all ages can gather and fangirl together.

Play games, enjoy good food and drinks while exploring various vendors with unique finds at The Vintage Market @ Field Day! From 11 a.m to 5 p.m., the vintage shopping and crafts event is the perfect way to spend a chill day with friends.

Rolling into Big Spring Park, the Downtown Food Truck Rallies are back for the summer! With a rotating lineup of fan-favorite food trucks and brand-new vendors serving everything from savory street eats to seasonal sweet treats, there is something to satisfy every craving.

Gather with friends and loved ones to see the floating lanterns! The Huntsville Water Lantern Festival invites attendees to reflect and personalize their own water lanterns before releasing them onto the waters at Big Spring Park. Enjoy food trucks and live entertainment as the eco-friendly lanterns light up the night.

An afternoon of laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable family memories awaits at Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Family Field Day! Designed for the whole family, the event will offer classic outdoor games, yard games, inflatables, face painting, concessions, and more – all set against the Garden’s vibrant summer backdrop.

Treat Dad to a mind-blowing experience at the Rocket City Laser’s Dad’s Ultimate Playlist Laser Experience! Transforming hit songs from The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Metallica, and more, attendees can dance, laugh, and make lasting memories as the music and laser lights soar and sparkle across the theater. Individual shows are $10, while all-access wristbands are $20.

Celebrate Dad with some peanuts and cracker jacks at the Rocket City Trash Pandas – Father’s Day event! Head to Toyota Field to make memories with your old man, laughing and cheering as the Rocket CityTrash Pandas compete against the Montgomery Biscuits.

Held in Huntsville this year, the 2026 USA Track and Field (USATF) Youth Outdoor Championships is a premier, key developmental annual track and field meet for young athletes aged 7-18. Watch and cheer as multiple-aged divisions compete in running, jumping, and throwing events at the Milton Frank Stadium. Registrations are live now.

See Buju Banton – the legendary Jamaican reggae and dancehall musician – perform live with Stephen Marley, the eight-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist, singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a 7 p.m. show time.

Celebrate 250 years of the red, white, and blue at Ditto Landing’s Independence Day Celebration! Head to the marina at 5 p.m. for the preparty with food trucks and live music from 5 o’clock Charlie and The Tavern Preachers, as well as to choose your viewing spot before the first pop, crackle, and spark of the fireworks show sound off at 9 p.m.
