From community bike rides to Mother’s Day teas, food truck rallies, hot air balloon festivals, AEW performances, and more, discover a list of can’t-miss events happening this May.

May the force be with you at the Rocket City Trash Pandas – Star Wars Night! Head to the Toyota Field and enjoy watching the Trash Pandas in action on the field, as well as some galaxy-themed fun and special appearances from iconic Star Wars characters. Tickets are available online.

Concerts on the Dock invites local, regional, and nationally renowned musicians to play at Lowe Mill A&E’s historic loading-dock-turned-stage. Attend Friday-night performances from Guthrie Echoes, Whitesburg Picnic, Jayne & the Huntsmen, Walker Street Opry, as well as the Cigar Box Guitar Festival Kick-Off.

Featuring 50+ breweries, 150+ brews, tasty food, and live music, the highly-anticipated Annual Von Brewski Beer Festival is back for its 10th year! With the Craft Beer Trail Tasting Map, Pretzel Necklace Station, photobooths, Hydration Station, and more, there are festivities for everyone 21 and up.

Pedal through Downtown Huntsville with Mayor Tommy Battle at the 17th Annual Mayor’s Bike Ride. With registration and check-in opening at 10:30 a.m. at Big Spring Park, the family-friendly, four-mile bike ride seeks to promote community wellness through exercise and nutrition and highlight Bike Safety Month.

Water For Elephants the Musical is a unique and spectacle-filled new musical that brings the critically acclaimed, best-selling novel to life in a new interpretation. Presented by the Broadway Theatre League of Huntsville, follow Jacob and Marlena as they discover new life and love amongst a traveling circus.

Baseball games and rides await at the Big Ol’ Ballpark Fair at the Toyota Field. Before catching a Trash Pandas game, explore the carnival’s 30+ rides that range from thrill rides to kiddie rides, as well as their games and fair food. One-night admission is $10.

Amy Grant is coming to the VBC Mars Music Hall! Experience the intimate, live performance as Grant reflects on her 50-year career, as well as her recovery from heart surgery and a brain injury, through iconic songs and story telling through a lens of healing and grace.

Celebrate mom like never before at Mom’s Laser Celebration by Rocket City Lasers! At $10 a show, or $20 for an all-access wristband, mom can immerse herself in four dazzling light shows and sing or dance along to featured music from Elton John, Taylor Swift, Queen, or Prince.

Explore the most diverse traveling vintage market in the United States with Time Travelers Vintage Expo! Currently visiting 16 other cities from coast to coast, the expo will feature a vintage wonderland of clothing, home goods, retro-inspired handmades, and more with a range of styles and price points.

Let’s GEAUX Games’ Adult Game Night Series is bringing The Squid Games, Netflix’s most popular series ever, to life in The Orion Amphitheater! Registration and tickets are now live – this event is 21+.

Connecting MidCity District’s The Camp to the Orion Amphitheater, the 5th Annual Camp to Amp Festival is a free, day-long event celebrating North Alabama’s community, arts, and music. Attendees can expect the streets to be filled with vendors, nonprofits, artists, local businesses, chefs, and more.

Witness the Big Loud artist HARDY as he performs at The Orion Amphitheater for the HARDY: The Country! Country Tour! Growing up on classic rock in the small town of Philadelphia, Mississippi, the tour features performances from his four-song EP for the label, This Ole Boy, presenting fans with lyrics centered on farms, the backwoods, and America’s heartland.

Godsmack is coming to Huntsville for The Rise of Rock World Tour 2026. With more Top 10 Rock Songs than Foo Fighters and Aerosmith, attendees can enjoy live performances of their hit songs,  “I Stand Alone,” “Awake,” “Voodoo,” and more, with additional performances from Stone Temple Pilots and special guest, Dorothy.

Take to the skies this Memorial Day weekend at the Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic. Just a 30-minute drive from Huntsville, the event features around 60 hot air balloons with competitive races and tethered rides, as well as additional activities like a food and vendor market, live entertainment, arts and crafts, and auto and tractor shows.
